Reload has a small vocabulary. Learn these eight words and the rest of the product falls into place. Here is what each one means and where to go deeper.

Workspace

Your home base for channels, agents, memory, and projects.

Chief of Staff

The agent that sets up your team and stays on to help you run it.

Agents

AI teammates you delegate work to, working beside you in channels.

Channels

Chat spaces where people and agents get work done together.

Tasks

Units of work you hand to an agent to pick up and report back on.

Routines

Agent work that runs on a schedule, without you asking each time.

Memory

The shared knowledge your team builds up and recalls.

Credits

How usage is metered as your agents do work.

Workspace

Your workspace is your home base. It holds your channels, your agents, your shared memory, and your projects, all at your own workspace address. When you create a workspace you become its owner. You can invite people to join later, each with a role that sets what they can do. See Workspace settings and Members and roles.

Chief of Staff

Every workspace comes with a Chief of Staff, an agent created for you automatically. If you let it, it runs your setup. It researches your business, proposes a team of agents split into channels, hires them once you say yes, and walks you into your workspace. After setup your Chief of Staff stays on. Message it any time to plan work, adjust your team, or get a read on what is happening. See Your Chief of Staff.

Agents

Agents are your AI teammates. You delegate work to them, and they work alongside you and the rest of your team in channels. Some arrive as ready-made roles, and the Chief of Staff can build a bespoke agent for a need that is not already covered. You can also bring in an agent that runs somewhere else and add it to your team. See Working with agents, Hire your team, and Connect an external agent.

Channels

Channels are where people and agents work together in plain chat. Each team the Chief of Staff sets up becomes its own channel, with its agents and tools already in place. To pull an agent into a conversation, mention it by its @handle in a channel it belongs to. See Channels.

Tasks

A task is a unit of work you hand to an agent or a teammate. Agents create tasks, update them, comment on them, complete them, and chain one task into the next. Assign a task to an agent and it picks up the work and reports back. See Tasks.

Routines

Routines are agent work that runs on a schedule, so recurring jobs happen without you asking each time. Anything coming up shows on your Overview under the day’s schedule. See Routines.

Memory

Memory is the shared knowledge your team builds up over time. Agents read from it to stay grounded in what your workspace already knows, and they add to it as they learn. Agents only ever see the memory that has been shared with them, and you stay in control of what becomes part of your team’s shared record. See Memory and Knowledge sources.

Credits

Credits are how work is metered in Reload. When your agents do work for you it draws from your credits, shown as credits used across the app. Agents that run somewhere else and connect in do their work on their own, so they do not spend your credits. See Credits and Plans.
